CELEBRATING OUR SUCCESS...

Design by Joshua Vizzacco
RI CFA is celebrating our great success after helping to save funding for the arts this past June. The cuts proposed by Governor Carcieri earlier this year - 1% for the Arts public art program, the Film Tax credit, and $700,000 in grant dollars through RI State Council on the Arts - have been restored in the Assembly's budget!

NOW ONTO THE ELECTIONS

YOUR VOTE MATTERS!

Election season has begun and we must ask candidates these important questions:
  • Will you add a position inside government that works to nurture economic development in the creative sector?
  • Will you support an increase in grant funds through RI State Council for the Arts from $700,000 to $1.5 million by 2014?
  • How will you prioritize arts education inside schools within your plan for education reform in Rhode Island?
